Community guidelines
What the community guidelines are for
The community guidelines are the rules that keep every review on Fydbak authentic, useful and independent. They protect buyers from fake or manipulated content and shield honest creators from baseless attacks. In short: they describe what you can write, what's prohibited and how we step in when someone crosses the line. We apply the same rules to everyone, with no exceptions and no favours. No creator can change them, bypass them or use them to delete inconvenient opinions. Reading these guidelines before you post helps you contribute to a review ecosystem everyone can trust.
Write authentic reviews based on real experiences
On Fydbak, only genuine experience counts. Write a review only for a creator you actually engaged with: a course you took, a coaching session, an event or a digital product you bought. Describe concrete facts — what you received, what worked, what didn't — instead of vague impressions. Authentic, verified reviews are what make the platform trustworthy, because every opinion is tied to a real person and a real experience. Don't post reviews on someone else's behalf, don't trade them and don't accept payment to write them. The more specific and honest you are, the more your review helps people decide.
What is not allowed
To protect the platform's integrity we prohibit: fake or invented reviews; content posted in exchange for money, discounts or favours; multiple reviews from the same user to inflate or sink a score; other people's personal information or confidential data; spam, promotional links and disguised advertising; illegal, defamatory or clearly misleading content. We also prohibit any attempt to manipulate a creator's reputation, whether positively or negatively. This content harms both buyers and honest creators, and it is removed. Our priority is that every review reflects a real experience — not a hidden commercial or personal interest.
Respect and civil language
You can be critical without being abusive. Reviews can and should be honest, even tough, but they must not contain insults, threats, harassment, hate speech or attacks based on personal identity. Focus on your experience with the creator's product or service, not on gratuitous personal attacks. Civil language makes your criticism more credible and more useful to readers. Content that breaks these rules is removed, regardless of whether the rating is positive or negative. Your freedom to leave a negative review is not in question: we simply ask you to do it respectfully and based on facts.
No manipulation: independent, uncensorable reviews
Fydbak's core principle is that no one can manipulate reputation. Creators cannot delete, hide or edit the reviews about them, nor pay to boost their score or remove criticism. Likewise, orchestrating coordinated review campaigns — positive or negative — is not allowed. This independence is what sets Fydbak apart from creator-controlled channels, where you only see what they want to show. Authentic reviews stay permanent and protected, readable by anyone. Defending that independence is exactly why we have such strict rules against every form of manipulation.
How we moderate and enforce the rules
Our moderation is independent from the creators being reviewed and follows a transparent methodology. We combine automated checks and human review to catch fake reviews, spam and manipulation, and every review passes through the verification process before publishing. When you submit a report, the Fydbak team assesses it only against these guidelines — never at a creator's request or under pressure. No one can pay to have legitimate criticism removed. This consistent approach is what makes a reputation built on Fydbak trustworthy: the rules apply to everyone, the same way, at all times.
Consequences of violations
When a review breaks these guidelines, it is removed. Accounts that repeatedly break the rules — for example by posting fake reviews or trying to manipulate scores — can be restricted or suspended. We apply consequences proportionately and transparently, using the same criteria for buyers, creators and brands. The goal isn't to punish negative opinions, which are welcome when authentic, but to protect the integrity of verified reviews. If you believe an action was a mistake, you can request a review of it. Trust in the platform depends on these rules being enforced consistently and without exceptions.
You can update your review if your experience changes, but reviews aren't deleted to hide legitimate criticism. Neither you nor the creator can erase authentic, verified opinions.
Reviews that break the rules are removed and repeat offenders can be suspended. We apply the same rules to everyone, transparently and independently from the creators being reviewed.
Use the Report button on any review. The Fydbak team reviews the report independently and acts only on the guidelines, never at a creator's request.
No. Creators can't delete or have authentic reviews removed. A review is only removed if it breaks the community guidelines, never because it's critical.
